Darren Jackson looking for his First CWRA Feature Win at Marshfield Motor Speedway’s Fall Shootout!

CWRA SUPER LATE MODELS & CWSFCS CHAMPIONSHIPS SET FOR THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!

Marshfield, WI, (September 24, 2018) – His childhood dream was always to become a super late model feature winner, and Darren Jackson’s dream may come true this weekend as the CWRA Stars to Legends Tour visits Marshfield Motor Speedway.

Competing in their finale this Friday night at Marshfield Motor Speedway, the Central Wisconsin Racing Association Super Late Models should put on one heck of a show as they will be competing in two feature events on Championship Friday!

Not only is Darren Jackson looking for his first win, he has the opportunity to win his first championship in a super late model.  Jackson rides in the second position in the series point battle, trailing only Wisconsin Rapids, WI driver Jeff Weinfurter by only 48 points.  With the large car count expected at Marshfield Friday Night, anything can happen! Neillsville’s Darek Gress, and Wausau, WI driver Mark Mackesy, are the other two drivers that still have the opportunity to be crowned the 2018 CWRA Stars to Legends Tour champion.

Darren Jackson, whom of which calls his father, Tim Jackson, and former driver Keith Bohmsach his childhood heros, has placed second in a super late model race on three occasions. Finishing in the runner up position at Marshfield Motor Speedway, Dells Raceway Park, and Golden Sands Speedway, Jackson has notched two Fast Qualifier positions in the 2018 season.

When asked how he likes competing in the Stars to Legends Tour by Marshfield Promotor Wayne Brevik, Jackson replied. “The CWRA is a very affordable way to race super late models.  All competitors race with a lot of respect and that makes it much fun.”  Darren Jackson further commented, “We, (CWRA), don’t have to spend a crazy amount of money to compete anymore as the recap tire is a great equalizer.”

Central Wisconsin Racing Association super late models compete on one or two sets of tires for the entire year, explained Jackson.  “Competing on this type of tire, and not having the expense of multiple sets of practice or race tires throughout the year, is certainly the future of racing in Central Wisconsin, stated Jackson.”

Darren Jackson, who calls Nekoosa, WI home, co-owns the familiar #2 super late model with his girlfriend, Ashly Freund.  The 2018 Darren Jackson Racing Team consists of:  Jordan Hamel, Brian Back, Dustin Johnson, Ashly Freund, Tim & Pam Jackson, Quinten Abbott, Brandon Abbott, Dean Fisher, with Beverly Jackson serving as team cook and photographer.  Darren would also like to thank his mother for all her support throughout the years.

Of course Darren Jackson wouldn’t be able to compete if he didn’t have such fine marketing partners as:  Home Run Electric, Hotel Mead, Custom Kitchens & Cabinets, NextHome Partners, Ponderosa PInes, Sunrise Bar, Al-KUL Performance Radiators, and AR Bodies.

Joining the CWRA Stars to Legends Tour this Friday, will be the CWSFCS Pure Stocks.  The CWSFCS Pure Stocks will be competing in their season championship.  Also, competing this Friday night will be the Bandits and 2-Man Cruisers.  Fan gates open at 5:30, with qualifying at 6:30, and racing set for 7:30 pm.

On Championship Saturday, Super Late Models, TUNDRA Late Model Triple Crown (Limited Late Models), X-Treme 4’s, Bandits, and the 2-Man Cruisers will all be vying for championships!  Fan gates open at 1pm on Saturday, with qualifying at 2pm and the first green flag set to be thrown at 3pm.
